I had the distinct pleasure of attending Freedom Fest in Pendleton, SC. Some of you may know that Pendleton is home to Nancy Hellams, aka OhMe on Squidoo. If you look up southern hospitality in the dictionary, there is sure to be a picture of Nancy and her husband, Doc. Here I am, a complete stranger (well, an online acquaintance) and they opened up there home and their hearts to me. I cannot forget to mention Nancy’s sister, Joan Adams (Joan4 on Squidoo). This brave woman not only welcomed me with open arms, but entrusted her life and van to my driving abilities. I think I’m a pretty good driver, but she didn’t know me from Adam. I drove my car to Rock Hill, SC to pick Joan up and we loaded our stuff into her van and continued on to Pendleton.

The Get Cracking challenge on Squidoo and Facebook wanted “HOT” lenses since the weather is hot most places now. I had been writing a page featuring beautiful fine china mugs. What could be more perfect? It must have been a psychic moment. For Bonnie and Robin, that is.

Royal Doulton has so many gorgeous china mugs, it was hard to choose which ones to feature. I tried to offer a wide variety. My favorites are from their “Born To Shop” product line. Duds For Dads On Father’s Day

Breast cancer awareness is in the forefront once again, as it should be. We need to strive to keep this great cause active and alive.

KitchenAid has teamed up with the Susan G Komen Fund in support of breast cancer awareness. All you need to do is add a new “Cook For The Cure” KitchenAid product in your kitchen. Then go to the KitchenAid website and register your product so the donation can be made to the foundation. It’s as simple as that. So, where do you go to find these great KitchenAid products?
