In January 2007, I started writing on Squidoo and fell in love immediately. One lens turned into another and then gave me ideas for yet another … you know how it is. When I found out about Giant Squids – those honored Squidoo lensmasters who create 50 quality lenses – I wanted to be one. It’s a goal that’s slipped farther down on my to-do list, since I haven’t been close to the required 50.

As the latest challenge started, I thought about it again. Can I make 28 or so lenses (I’m adding a couple over the required 50 for good measure)? I wasn’t sure I should add it to my goals. Maybe I should try next quarter? Before it opportunity slipped again, I became inspired by a surprise visit; Kab visited my lens, Jennifer Akers, The Best Freelance Writer Ever.

She invited me to her team, Kab’s Fab Squid Squad. Oh, it’s nice to have support – I accepted. Motivation from other Squid friends just might push me to meet this goal. And I’m excited to meet new friends and encourage their goals of becoming a Giant Squid.

For all my fellow Squids who are working toward Giant Squid, I challenge you to make your best and keep your eye on the goal. You can do it!

With your help, I can too.
