Earth Day Turns into Everyday
Social Traffic’s Earthday Birthday celebration was so much fun. A group of dedicated people working together to make a difference. We wanted to combine our talents and hard work to donate to one Earth Day cause. That goal wasn’t realized, though we donated money to several worthy ones.
One of the things I’ve realized in working for our Earth Day project: Earth Day is great to make people more aware of Earth’s environmental issues. Yet, there are many people, who actively live in environmentally friendly ways, and they are doing so, every single day. Little steps add up to reaching huge goals.
I think it’s important to have one global holiday that everyone can rally around and celebrate together. But, to make a significant difference in our planet, we all need to live everyday as if it’s Earth Day.
Here’s one of my lenses on Earth Day projects. I’ve listed some fun activities for both school and family. These are things you can do any time of the year. Another lens, Earth Day gives simple ways to help the Earth, and includes a beautiful video on why we should care about our Earth.
Thanks to everyone for their support. It’s been a project close to my heart, and opened my eyes to ways I can continue to make a difference for our planet. Here’s the organization I chose:
It’s an amazing organization, dedicated to saving the Orangutan from extinction – and rebuilding our rainforests, which are vital for our planet’s health.
Happy Earth Day every day.
