Okay, it’s almost too close to the expiration date for a response to “A good reason for multiple accounts on Squidoo?”, but hear goes: I would rather write porn under my one account than hide behind some mask of mystery to write it.

It is all about the comfort of personal branding. Wherever I go, I want to announce that Drifter and Alex are one in the same. When folks recognize that, they know what they get. If I have written porn, then they know that.

They are warned. The option is theirs to read it or not.

I know the very first opposition to this is going to be, “What about those who stumble across the porn by accident and find your name attached?”

This ain’t Walgreen’s, and besides that, how often does that really happen. C’mon now.

The whole issue is about personal comfort. I think if one feels like they need to protect their rep by creating an alternate account to write adult oriented material, then there is at least a small amount of discomfort.

Does this make sensual..er..I mean, sense?
