Sample Strategic Plan to Make Money Online in 2011
(This is a sample plan for you to use as a guide when doing your strategic business planning to reach your goals in 2011.)
How much money do I want to be earning each month by the end of 2011 from my online work?
My goal for earnings in 2011 is to be earning $3000 per month by the end of 2011 which will cover my family’s bills and expenses.
How much do I earn now?
I currently earn about $920 per month from all of my online sites. (Part of your plan is to understand how to get from your current earnings to where you have placed your goals. You can break it down monthly, weekly, and daily to understand the numbers better, and how to know if you are on track or not.)
What is your plan to increase your earnings from $920 per month to $3000 by the end of 2011?
The majority of my income currently comes from Squidoo, Amazon, Ebay, and Adsense. My goal is to build each of those to 2 1/2 times what they currently are, and add another significant earning site, Zazzle to complete the $3000.
How will you build your income from your current sites?
Every time I write new articles on Hubpages or Squidoo, I earn more money the next month. So in order to essentially triple my earnings, I need to continue to write a minimum of one article every day for both sites, leaving the weekends free. That will give me 10 new articles per week, and after a few months, I can reassess if that is the right plan. (You may find that 10 articles a week is not enough to meet your goals, or that you are exceeding your goals.)
How will you create a significant income from Zazzle to fill in the blanks to real your goals?
To get Zazzle going, I need to do a few things. One is to greatly increase the number of items I have on the website. The second is to interlink the items I have better. The third is to promote the items much, much more. I can use some of my articles that I will write on Squidoo primarily to promote my Zazzle store.
Where will you spend the majority of your time online pursuing your goals?
I will spend the majority of my time online writing new articles, and creating new Zazzle items. I will spend only about 10% of my time doing promotional techniques like blogging, instead using keywords and excellent search engine optimization to get the articles seen on Google.
(The next step of the plan would be to plan out exactly which articles or topics you will work on when in order for them to be existent long enough before people will search for them. Below is a very simple version of this.)
