I’ve spent a lot of time focusing on my own lenses this weekend.

To start, the newest Rocket Mom session started and I want to spend more time with that, so put my mind to it and came up with not 1 but 3 lenses for the week 1 assignment.

Forgotten Women: Fanny Mendelsson is a look at Felix Mendelsson’s sister. A woman who it was stated was better composer than her brother.

Caravan Holidays: France which will be a picture look at our 1 week holiday in France this past August.

A bit of self promotion

I’ve been focusing today on promoting some of my lenses that haven’t been doing so well with the rankings and the visits. I’d built quite a few lenses over the summer but didn’t spend a lot of time on the other end of things.

Tomorrow I’ve got a couple lenses to finish up though.

Busy, busy, busy

I haven’t had any time for writing my WIP lens this week. Unfortunately, things have been happening at school where I am Chair of Governors and I have been there nearly every day this week. Mostly helping to keep teachers calm and being a sounding board for the Head Teacher, and making cups of tea.

Can’t go into details because of legal issues which have led to one family being banned from the school grounds, but it’s been a doozy of a week.

I sure am glad it’s half term and the kids are all out of school next week. Will give everyone, parents, pupils, and staff a chance to calm down.

Their first week back I will be busy again though with school. I’ll be helping the Head Teacher to interview potential new teaching assistants for a classroom and helping the Deputy HT to interview two current teaching assistants who have both applied to administer a specific learning program within the school.

There’s always next week. I have a WIP that I want to put together about our family holiday we took to France back in August. We stayed a week in a 28 feet caravan (small mobile home) in the Vendee region of France. I have the next in my A to Z of Herbs and Spices that needs doing. And I’d like to do a review of a book that has been written by our very own lensmaster, Victoria Twead about life living in Spain.

As I have said in the past – I’m not one to let having nothing to say stop me from saying it.

I’m using this space to speak about what I a doing around Squidoo. I may talk about lenses I have created, lenses I’ve seen, things I have been doing in my angel duties.

I’m not one for really deep and profound statements, so if one pops up I assure you it was probably unintentional.
