Hack your own swivel arm for a larger tv

My son graduated from college AND my daughter got married in June, and I went to my college reunion AND got sued by my crazy neighbor. That was enough to put me off my internet habit, I hardly logged on for weeks at a time.

Now that excitement has ebbed and I have a few new lenses. Here’s the first:

Hack your own swivel arm for a larger tvMake your own tv swivel arm wall mount will be of intense interest to people with my own problem and of no interest whatever to the rest of the world. Lightning struck my ancient tv and killed it. I got a 26″ flat screen tv and wanted to wall mount it as I had a smaller tv in another part of the house.

Problem was, the mounts made for a tv this size are obscenely expensive (more than $100) and the tidy cheap wall-mount I bought for the other tv ($20 post paid at ebay) was too small to swivel behind the new tv.

In this lens you see how I solved this problem. My hack works perfectly!
