The Next Deadline to Reach Giant Squid is Fast Approaching
March 8, 2009 in Squidoo Blogs by lakeerieartists
For those of you who are striving to reach Giant Squid status or Giant Squid 100 status by the next deadline, March 31, 2009, the date is fast approaching. Becoming a Giant Squid is truly a privilege, and I highly encourage you all to go for it if you are considering it. Luckily, Squidoo has many, many great resources to help you out, even though the challenge is highly competitive.
One of the best ways to learn what you need to do is to attend one of the workshops run by our Giant
Squid Organizers, Robin, Patti, and Bonnie. For more information on those, click here. The Organizers work extremely hard to nurture the potential Giants along. And they do a great job. The Giant Squid Community Showcase has great examples of lenses by Giant Squids and other information to help you succeed.
If you want to be a Giant, here is the best place to start: THE GIANT SQUIDS (and how you can become one).
There is a terrific section of SquidU that is a great place for questions and answers relating to the Giant Squid challenge. So You Want To Be A Giant Squid? I highly recommend that you go there for encouragement and information.
Lastly, there are numerous lenses about specific lensmasters’ journeys to become Giant Squid. Each person followed a different path, but it is always good to learn from others. Mine is called Confessions of a Giant Squid, but there are many more. I especially liked How I Became A Giant Squid in 40 Days. I encourage you to look for as many of these as you can to help you find your own path to Giantdom. It is definitely worth the work. Good luck!
