Carnival of Squid: A Brilliant Idea from Lewister
April 30, 2009 in Lensmaster Blogs by lakeerieartists

If ideas like the Carnival of Squid are what come out of working directly with Seth Godin, I may have to take a hiatus on my own life and sign up for the next chance.
Lewister, had just come up with the most brilliant of projects, described in her post Introducing the Carnival of Squid.
This project has emerged fully fashioned with a new blog, The Carnival of Squid
Here is the description from the blog.
The Carnival of Squid highlights the best lenses on a specific topic for the day. I’m looking for your best submissions and for you to vote for your favorites. There will be a featured lens for every day and a Barker’s Best choice for the week, complete with badge for your lens.
How it works:
* Check out the monthly calendar lens to see the topics. (List just to the right here.)
* Have a lens for a topic? Add it to the list.
* Like a topic, but don’t have a lens? Make one (a great one!) and add it.
* Check out the lenses for the day’s topic and vote for the ones you like (or don’t).
* Visit the Carnival of Squid every week to see which lenses made the cut.
I have already taken a look at the first two months lenses for May and June, and I am just thrilled with the eclectic choices of topics for the two months. What a great way to generate new lens ideas on some fun and esoteric topics, and also on some more common topics that you would have thought we had lenses on already.
I look forward to seeing a lot more from this project.

Susan is such a remarkable lensmaster! Carnival of Squid is a very cool concept. Can’t wait to see what new lenses are added.
