A Squidoo Story.

March 4, 2009 in Lensmasters by Chef Keem

Tonight, CA lensmaster Heather426 left a guest book comment in my Squid Angel lens. She thought I live in Alaska. I visited her bio page and sent her a thank-you note with the clarification: I live in Austin, Texas. I only cook at my Alaska lodge during salmon season.

So far, nothing unusual, right?

Heather replied with a bit from her personal history. She’d graduated from MacArthur High in San Antonio, attended the University of Texas, and her youngest was born in Austin.

I tell her back: Funny – my best friend, Victor Hammack, graduated from the same High School in San Antonio and his sister, Susan, was my first wife.

Guess what?

Turns out…

Heather was good friends with my ex-wife and close to her family – my ex in-laws and god parents.

Heather noted, “So we are connected by only 1 degree of separation…”.

Thanks to Squidoo – small world. A nice story.
