IttyBiz (To Make Yours Bigger)

March 24, 2009 By Chef Keem Leave a Comment

Most of you have heard of SXSW (South By Southwest) – the annual Interactive Media/Film/Music Conference in Austin, Texas. Since I’ve lived in Austin for the last 26 years, I’ve had the great fortune to attend SXSW several times – especially during the early years when venues, crowds and badge prices were small. Lately I’ve followed the happenings from the convenience of my home office/Mac window-to-the-world, some 20 city blocks away from the craziness in the streets.

This year’s show is over. Yet, the after-buzz is still running high on many top bloggers’ pages. One of my favorites, Jonathan Fields of “Awake at the Wheel”, posted yesterday about meeting two fellow blog giants during his stay in Austin – Chris Brogan and Naomi Dunford of IttyBiz fame.

I had followed Chris for a while, but Naomi and IttyBiz were new to me. So I checked out her site and blog.

I mean – I started checking out this blog. There is too much, too valuable stuff here for one evening of reading. Smart, clever, funny, profane (at times)…always incredibly wise and enlightening. It’s all about marketing your small business (and SEO, and blogging, and, and, and…), but Naomi is so good – an hour of personal consulting with her runs at $500 and she actually recommends that you find someone else, suggesting that your problem might have solved itself by the time it’s your turn on her 3-months waiting list.

I’ve signed up for her free marketing courses, and I might buy her SEO School or the ebook on how to sell ebooks. I’m very impressed with her offerings – the pitch pages alone are a study in “how it should be done” (the pitching).

Read the IttyBiz 1000 story.

Sign up for the free stuff.

Look at the learning materials you can buy.
