For those of you who are Etsy sellers, Squidoo can be a very good source of traffic to your Etsy shop. The best way to go about this is to create a sales page for each type of item you carry in your shop as if you were selling the work done by someone else. Sales pages work best if you are selling either one item, or one category of items.
For an example, the product shown to the left on this page, is a very, very cute football helmet hat made by a Cleveland artist, JustPaigeCreations.
If I were Paige, I would make a page on Squidoo about her baby football helmet hats with lots of pictures, and links to her etsy site. Since they are her items, she would earn money from each sale of her products.
One thing to point out, is that because Etsy does not have a referral program or affiliate program, other people do not make any money referring customers to your Etsy website. Therefore, it is your job to find ways to drive traffic. Squidoo ranks extremely well, and would be a wonderful way to exploit all the keywords that you cannot possibly put on each and every listing on Etsy.
Not a football fan? Don’t worry, JustPaigeCreations makes loads of other lovely hats for babies, including sock monkeys, bunnies, dogs, owls, and just plain hats.
