Celebrate Your 50th With A 12,000-Mile Bicycle Tour

Megan is getting her groove back, at least when it comes to picking truly remarkable lenses for Lens of the Day honors.
At the Center of North America
As Lensmaster MysticTurtle was approaching her 50th birthday she started to notice some inevitable signs of aging. But instead of resigning herself to wallow in regret she did what most of us would do in this situation: She decided to go on a 12,000 mile bicycle tour around the perimeter of the U.S.!
The adventure began in July 2008 and is scheduled to take 1 year. Mystic Turtle plans the trip to end in July, 2009, when she would bicycle into her Ohio hometown on her fiftieth birthday.
She updates us on her progress with photos and stories on her well-deserved LOTD, 12,000-Mile Bicycle Tour.
Although I’m in no shape to attempt anything like this, her bravery and determination are a sign of hope that my unfulfilled dreams still have a chance after all.
